Finally going to share some of my favorite costumes from when I got to dance on stage at a major music festival a few weeks ago!! Here is the first, a blooming flower with a flapper themed glamour 😍 what do you guys think? I was very undetermined whether I would be able to dance to the best of my abilities in some of these big costumes. However what makes the best dancers is the challenges we are faced with, and can always work through them and rely back on our technique to shine through. That’s why basic technique is SO important even when you’ve been training for 20+ years like myself! 💗

Received these behind the scenes video clips of a recent photoshoot I did for a local fashion designer! If you have the sound on you can hear someone in the first video in the back back saying “it’s like being a dancer makes you better at modeling” and it’s actually such a true statement! While modeling is more pose focused, each time I move from position to position I think of it as a dance, and that translates when the camera snaps the photo ❤️ Plus! My presence and technicality always shines through in what I’m doing! 🦋 hope you all enjoy :)

Happy Saturday! Here is a ballet tip for this beautiful weekend day. One of my favorite technique movements in ballet is anything to do with the length and strength of my legs and lower body. This movement is called Envelopé which in contrary to Dèveloppé where you develop the leg out, in this movement you bring the leg out first and back into yourself to finish. 😇 Remember to always train these small yet extremely effective and essential movements on both sides and repetition is the best way to strengthen your technique! 💛

This costume was so fun last night!! My ballet technique really showed through with my arm movements. “Port de bra” is also known as carriage of the arms in ballet vocabulary. I felt like a true character out of beauty and the beast as I represented the champagne chandelier girl at the event! 🦋💛
